Exactly 135 days after Russell Martin's initial media briefing as Rangers manager, his replacement Danny Rohl faced the media at Rangers' stadium for the first time.

The magnitude of the task ahead of him is well known, given his predecessor's turbulent and unsuccessful 123-day tenure.

The ex- Sheffield Wednesday manager was accompanied by club chairman Andrew Cavenagh, along with the frequently questioned pair of sporting director Kevin Thelwell and CEO Patrick Stewart.

But what precisely was revealed from the young German's maiden media outing as the club's manager?

Rohl's Main Priority - Victory is Everything

One thing came through clearly from Rohl's initial presentation before the Scottish media - he recognizes the necessity to secure victories, and do so quickly.

The previous manager Russell Martin lasted only 17 games and 123 days in charge, so the question arose about what timeframe Rohl believes is reasonable to transform the underperforming squad.

Although deftly avoiding a specific response that could bring future pressure, Rohl's message was very evident.

"With hope very quickly," he said. "That is crucial.
"In this business you have limited time. One can talk about long-term vision but it's understood it's about the short-term and that period is about winning games. That is my requirement.
"One thing remains clear - I need every squad member to comprehend our intended to perform. I come back to my main message: it's winning, it's attractive and it's together. If you follow this order, I'm convinced that I'll stay very long here."

Expectations are Normal

The previous manager needed a police escort to exit the Falkirk Stadium after his final match as manager.

We've seen how toxic situations can turn at football clubs when results are poor. Demonstrations have nearly become a regular aspect of game day experience on each part of the city these days.

As the club's most youthful manager in history, the question asked about what qualities Rohl believes he has that would allow him to cope, never mind thrive, in one of the highest-pressure roles in UK soccer?

"I think expectations in football are standard," he stated. "You must learn that rapidly.
"I think some people might mention my youth but I'm 16 years on this path. I had a great chance to be at Bayern Munich and be only an assistant coach, but I felt what it means to be a head coach and the demands involved.
"You begin winning games and then some critics will say you need to produce entertaining soccer. That's the next stage but precisely my intention. I enjoy that challenge and I'm excited for the future."

Thelwell Explains Chermiti Signing & Appointing Family Member

Kevin Thelwell media conference

The media pack had numerous inquiries from the media directed at Thelwell.

Much discussion has focused on the appointment of his son as head of recruitment, with fans unconvinced about his credentials for the role.

Nevertheless, he justified and clarified the decision to bring Thelwell Jnr to the club.

"It remains awkward to listen and in appearance I think everyone understood when we made this decision to appoint Robbie that he'd be seen negatively," Thelwell said.
"The reality of circumstances is that we want to bring the top players to this club.
"My view on Robbie's career and situation is he required no my assistance in soccer.
"He served at Aston Villa as a senior scout, after which he joined Norwich as scouting chief and then was elevated to player pathways manager.
"Before we hiring him, two top division clubs sought to sign him. Our approach right at the start of proceedings was discuss with the CEO, the chairman and deputy chairman Paraag Marathe about this situation.
"I was highly transparent and I believe he likely experienced a stricter process than anybody else employee by this football club.
"I'm certain is that he'll labor 25/8 to be successful for this football club and I'm looking forward seeing him demonstrating that he'll become an excellent staff member for the club."

Additionally, Thelwell supported the signing of striker Youssef Chermiti, who arrived at Rangers for a reported initial fee of eight million pounds, after failing to find the net in 24 appearances for Everton.

It was Thelwell who transferred the Portuguese youth international to Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon - once more for significant money in a £15m deal.

He was asked if he stands by his expensive purchase, who hasn't yet register in seven matches for the club.

"Yes, completely," Thelwell responded. "I think Youssef Chermiti is a player who's got great ability.
"I haven't questioned him whatsoever. Again, I think Danny will help to maximize the potential out of the player.
"It's very early days for the young player, he's a young talent and of course with inexperienced players they sometimes take time.
"But I'm certain throughout of his time at the club he'll demonstrate that he is highly capable player."

Stewart Understands Supporters' Disappointment and Anger

The chief executive was facing scrutiny, considering the criticism that has been aimed his way by some club own supporters.

There was even a banner in the Sandy Jardine stand during the last tie with United inviting him - and the sporting director - to depart before being removed for him.

Like his football director, the CEO did not evade the topic.

"I completely appreciate the frustration and anger that fans are feeling because performances recently haven't met expectations and nobody's happy with them," he stated.
"The pain and frustration they feel is matched inside the boardroom.
"Also understand that there must exist a channel for those frustrations and in my role, I'm responsible.
"I'm a lightning rod for such issues and my responsibility as a
